Day 1: Arrival in Kochi – Transfer to Guruvayur
Arrive at Cochin (Kochi) Airport and proceed to Guruvayur (approx. 2.5 hours). Visit the Guruvayur Temple, one of the most sacred and visited temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. You may also explore Mammiyoor Shiva Temple and Parthasarathy Temple nearby. If time permits, visit Punnathur Kotta, also known as the Elephant Sanctuary, where temple elephants are cared for. Overnight stay in Guruvayur.
Day 2: Guruvayur to Thrissur – Cultural Capital of Kerala
After breakfast, drive to Thrissur (approx. 1 hour), known as Kerala’s cultural hub. Visit the Vadakkunnathan Temple, a classic example of Kerala-style temple architecture. Also explore the Archaeological Museum, Shakthan Thampuran Palace, and Kerala Kalamandalam (if interested in classical arts and Kathakali). Day 3: Thrissur to Kochi – Heritage and Fort Exploration
After breakfast, travel back to Kochi (approx. 2 hours). Check into your hotel and begin exploring Fort Kochi, a heritage zone known for colonial-era architecture. Visit Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace), Jewish Synagogue, and the famous St. Francis Church. Walk along the beach to see the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening, you may enjoy a Kathakali dance performance at a local theater. Overnight stay in Kochi.
Day 4: Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram – Temples and Royal History
After breakfast, travel to Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) by flight or train (approx. 1 hour by flight / 6 hours by road). Visit the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, one of the richest and most revered Vishnu temples in India. Later, explore the Kuthira Malika Palace Museum and Napier Museum for a taste of royal heritage and Kerala’s traditional arts. Overnight stay in Thiruvananthapuram.
Day 5: Optional Excursion to Kanyakumari or Departure
On the final day, you can:
Take a day trip to Kanyakumari (approx. 2.5 hours) — visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, and watch the spectacular sunset at the southernmost tip of India, or
Spend a peaceful morning visiting Attukal Bhagavathy Temple or relax before your departure from Thiruvananthapuram Airport.
