Days 4 - Nights 3

 

Day 1: Arrival in Munnar – Drive through the Western Ghats

Arrive at Cochin (Kochi) Airport or Railway Station, and begin your scenic drive to Munnar (around 4–5 hours). The route winds through lush greenery, misty hills, and small waterfalls. On the way, you can stop at Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Falls for quick photo stops. Upon arrival in Munnar, check into your hotel or resort and spend the evening at leisure. Enjoy the cool mountain air and peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2: Munnar Local Sightseeing – Tea Gardens and Peaks

After breakfast, head out for a full day of sightseeing in Munnar. Begin with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and stunning views of the rolling tea-covered hills. Then explore the Tea Museum, where you can learn about tea processing and sample fresh brews. Later, visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake, where you can enjoy a boat ride if desired. End your day at Top Station, known for panoramic views of the Western Ghats. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady – Spice Plantation & Wildlife

After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady (about 3.5 hours), a beautiful hill station and gateway to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival, check into your hotel or jungle resort. In the afternoon, visit a spice plantation to see how cardamom, pepper, and other spices are grown. You can also enjoy optional activities like an Ayurvedic massage, elephant ride, or Kalari (martial arts) show. In the evening, opt for a boat ride on Periyar Lake, where you may spot wild elephants, deer, and birds along the shoreline. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4: Thekkady to Kochi – Departure

After breakfast, check out and begin your return journey to Kochi (approx. 4.5–5 hours). If time permits, explore some local sightseeing in Kochi such as Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, or Jew Town. Transfer to Kochi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying the fresh memories of Kerala’s green hills and calm forests.
