8 Days 7 Nights

Day 1: On arriving at the Kushok Bakula airport, Leh (3500 m), meet our tour representative. He helps you with transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities as you savor your welcome drink. Settle in your rooms. The day is for resting and getting acclimatized to the high altitudes of Ladakh. Before any journey across this place, acclimatization is necessary. In the evening, walk up to the Leh bazaar to spot the hustle bustle. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2: Begin your road journey to Alchi, around 68 km away. On the way, a number of stops are scheduled. The first halt is at the gravity hill, popularly known as the Magnetic hill. Marvel at the optical illusions created on this hill. Later, continue your journey and arrive at the confluence of Indus River and Zanskar River, which are two major rivers of Ladakh. Next you visit the wonderful Basgo Castle, built on a clay hill. This structure is also known as Basgo Rabtan Lhartsekhar. After arrival at village Alchi in the afternoon, check-in at the hotel. Relax here for sometime. Thereafter, head to the superb Alchi monastery, famed for owning a great collection of thousand year old miniature paintings. Guru Rinchen Zangpo, the great translator had erected this Gompa. Evening is simply for some leisure time. You can take a stroll around the village. Overnight stay at Alchi / Ulley

Day 4: Today, complete the check-out formalities and begin your road journey towards mesmerizing Lamayuru, around 60 km away. The beautiful Lamayuru village is tagged as ‘the moonland of Ladakh’ as its landscape looks like the landscape of moon. Hike up to the meditation hill for wonderful views of the village. Next you visit Lamayuru Monastery, an eleventh century Gompa, also known as Yung-Drung. Today, it is called home by over 150 monks and has a wonderful collection of thangkas, artifacts, carpets wall paintings, statues etc. In the evening, return to Leh. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 5: Start your day 5 early for a full-day excursion to the mesmerizing and placid Pangong Lake, located at a distance of around 135 km eastwards of Leh. Today, you drive past Changla Pass, positioned at an altitude of 17500 feet. Drive through villages of Durbuk and Tangtse lying in the Changthang region of Ladakh to reach Pangong Lake. The Lake shot to fame after Bollywood blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ was shot here. Placed at an altitude of 4250 m, it is one of Asia’s largest brackish lakes and is known for changing color with the changing position of the sun. The views are going to be simply captivating. Arrival back to Leh. Spend the evening shopping at the local markets of Leh. Collect souvenirs to take back home. Overnight stay.

Day 6: After savoring sumptuous breakfast, pack your bags and start driving to Nubra Valley, one of Ladakh’s most famous valleys. This tri-armed valley is around 125 km away from Leh. Today’s journey includes a drive on one of the highest motorable passes in the world, Khardongla Pass (5600 m). The beauty of Nubra Valley is unparalleled and the experiences are unforgettable. On arrival, complete check-in formalities at the Deluxe camp. After settling in the camp, get ready to explore the place. You visit the wonderful white sand dunes near Hunder and Diskit Monasteries, while sitting on a double-humped camel’s back Stay overnight in Deluxe Camp.

Day 7: After breakfast, whole of the day 7 is for leisure activities. After sometime, start driving back to Leh. You have to follow the same route. Upon reaching, check into the hotel of Leh. Evening is free for visiting the local bazaars of Leh. Indulge in shopping here

Day 8: On the last day, early morning transfer to the Leh airport. Go on-board a flight to cover the journey for your onward destination
