Leh Monasteries Pangong Lake

Duration: 5 Days - 4 Nights

Day 1: Pick up from Leh Airport and transfer to hotel. Relax for rest of the day to avoid high altitude sickness. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.

Day 2: In the morning after breakfast, full day excursion to various Monastaries/Gompas in and around Leh. Visit Thiksey Monastry (19 Kms) and from there drive to Shey Monastry. After that, drive further to visit Hemis Monastry (40 Kms from Leh). Hemis Monastry is one of the famous Monastries and is the wealthiest, best known and biggest Gompa of Ladakh. Back to Leh in the evening. En route, visit Stok Palace and Museum. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.

Day 3: In the early morning after breakfast, proceed for Pangong Lake (210 Kms). En route visit Changla Pass which is third highest road in the world at a height of 17350 ft. Pangong Lake is located at an altitude of 14500 ft. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the banks of pangong while appreciating the changing colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Back to Leh in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.

Day 4: In the morning after breakfast, drive to Khardung La Pass (40 Kms) which is famous for the highest motorable road in the world and is also gateway to Nubra valley. Drive to Khardung La will be an ultimate adventure of your life. Have a magnificent view of the surrounding valleys. In the afternoon, back to Leh and visit Shanti Stupa, Hall of Fame and other famous local destinations. Visit Leh market in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.

Day 5: In the morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and drop at Leh Airport for return journey.
